Sora 2 detector

Sora 2 detector

OpenAI's Sora 2 signs its files with Content Credentials. A signed record names the tool directly; from the picture alone the models catch far fewer Sora 2 clips than older Sora ones, and the page shows that gap rather than implying parity.

Two paths to the same answer

A Sora 2 file that kept its signed record is confirmed by signature; the report shows the Content Credentials and names OpenAI's Sora 2. That is the strongest evidence.

Without the record, the detector judges the picture. On 60 Sora 2 clips tested on October 25, 2026, 8% came back very likely AI and 28% likely AI from the image alone, with 45% inconclusive. Older Sora clips test far higher, so a low score on a Sora 2 file does not mean it is real.

What the page will not say

A Sora 2 file that OpenAI's pipeline re-encoded or a platform re-compressed may lose its signed record. The page says so and does not guess.

The detector reports the picture's evidence; it does not run OpenAI's own tools. The verdict is evidence, not proof, and the per-generator rate is published with n and the test date.

FAQ

Questions, answered honestly.

Something else? hello@findtheai.app

Why does the Sora 2 catch rate look lower than Sora 1?

Sora 2 outputs are harder to read from the image alone. The signed record is the reliable path; the picture path has a lower catch rate on Sora 2 files. The accuracy page shows the per-generator rate with n for every generator tested.

Can I check a Sora 2 video by pasting its link?

Yes. Paste the link and the detector fetches the video and runs it through the same pipeline as an upload. If the file still carries its signed record, the report names the tool directly.
